Parent Teacher Conference Tonight

Tonight we go see Eli's teacher for the first parent teacher conference of the school year. Seems really early for one, but that's when they decided to do them.
We picked to go at 7:15. I didn't want to go tomorrow when he's out of school, so chose to go later this evening.
I am sure the teacher will say mostly good things about him (I hope). The only thing I think is concerning is that he is shy and don't talk.
I'll have to report later about how it goes.

shy kids are sometimes the hardest for teachers. the only assessment is how they do on homework and tests. I remember having a contest when I was teaching, to encourage shy kids to speak.

Eli is beyond shy it seems. She says he doesn't talk AT ALL - not even with his friends.
The contest is a great idea. She gave some ideas to help him but he didn't seem to go for them..

@LindaOHio Thank you, took it the last time we were at my great-grandma's house....my cousins wanted to recreate some photos they took about 10 years ago.

I always thought ours were closer to the end of October here...guess it is different everywhere!
