Good day to you all,
I watched a movie last night on Netflix called “The Guilty” and oh my god was it good. I was hooked into it quickly and was locked into it till the end. If you like drama, thrillers, you need to see this movie.
It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, you know him from movies like Jarhead, Day After Tomorrow, and Nightcrawler, to name a few. I thought he was great in Nightcrawler till I seen The Guilty. He is good in this one too.
The movie follows a troubled police detective who is assigned to 911 duty as he scrambles to save a caller as he tries to face his own issues.
Without giving away anything all I can say is this movie is intense and thrilling and in my opinion is a must see. If you like this type of movie you need to see it as soon as you can.

I've watched it and without wanting to reveal spoilers, think that it is an intense drama that can only be effective with a real good actor like Jake Gyllenhaal.
I'm not a big fan of movie genre like this, but there were intense moments and the actor's facial expressions and delivery of lines will keep you rooting for what happens next.
The ending feels a bit of a cliffhanger for me, but I guess it works for an intense drama with a thriller tinge. Good discussion there.

@ihasaquestion No I didn't expect that and that I think is what made it even better. I was very impressed with that.

@Bensen32 Yes, he certainly did great. And as an audience, we couldn't have anticipated the twist in the story at all.

@RebeccasFarm Yeah, I have liked a few of the movies he has been in and think he does a nice job. As for some of what I consider newer actors I think he is one of the good ones.
