Feeling distracted this morning

It is chilly outside and rainy.
The cats are into things and I am feeling rather distracted.
Last night was a great sleeping night.
Some places are out of school today, but not us. Banks are closed and no mail will run. It is the traditional Columbus Day holiday. In some places it is now celebrated as Indigenous People's Day as a counter to Columbus Day.
Our school does not take the day off. I do not know if they have related lessons today or not.
With the chilly wet weather I may take the car over to wait for the bus. I just may go early in fact.

I haven't known of the Columbus Day before. I learnt Columbus discovering the new continent from my textbook of middle school.

Maybe it's a season thing with the cats? Our boy was bouncing off walls this morning more than usual. He was so wound up that his sister really doesn't want to deal with him and his fuzzy nonsense.

I have wondered about the seasonal thing myself. I am pretty sure that once it gets cold they will settle down and spread themselves across all sofas and cozy places that are available.

@GardenGerty I think that once it finally gets cold out, the two of them will start cuddling more with each other. Right now, it is an odd thing; I suspect that winter may make it a bit more frequent.

We have had mixed days for the last few weeks. Sun is nice, rain is nice. I just get easily distracted.

Here it's still Columbus day, and no school. We have a festival that weekend every year besides last year from the virus. I didnt go this year though.
