What's so special about rain you might think but....

Not the way it did last evening It started pouring around 5.30 pm and continued - non stop - till this morning. Never in my life did I experience such a long span ever. And it was heavy. Remember it is October.
No tv last night. Our DTH stops working when it rains heavily.

It is also raining here, most unusual. And all day today well half the day and still raining now.
I am glad of it.
But that is bad that your DTH goes out.
I wonder what it is that is making it rain so much.
Perhaps someone is fooling with the weather.

@allknowing yes these are not good at all. No one likes to have rain continuously for 12 hours or more. Life gets affected due to it.

That's been the story here since last two weeks. Bangalore had rain all through the year but never so heavy. We are getting too many power interruptions too. Glad that most of the things work on power backup.

@arunima25 Solar energy has been used for years and as usual this government takes credit for everything that was started earlier Even manual scavenging had stopped years ago and this also they take credit for.
It is the companies who offer solar energy equipment are the ones who are promoting and not the government.

@allknowing Coal shortage is a big issue. Even China had shut down for couple of days. High time people start looking for renewable energy. This government has promoted a lot of solar energy in last few years. We see a noticeable change in Bangalore.Most houses have solar panels now. But then when it rains and is cloudy, solar panels are of no use.

We in Scotland need water.
Our reservoirs are at lowest levels in decades.
So if it rains heavily for a week non stop it would be good news
