I will say one thing about the Seattle police department that they have a lot of courage to rescue a driver who flees from them and the driver of the auto winds up getting injured crashing his auto into a tree. On Monday evening a convicted felon fled from the Seattle police when he crashed his auto into a tree was inside his wrecked auto trapped. A Seattle police officer used a knife to get the driver free from inside his auto before the auto who was on fire was getting ready to explode. The police officer had help from a bystander to get the driver out of danger. The cause of the explosion was ammunition that was inside the auto that exploded when the fire touched the ammunition. The driver of the auto was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition due to injuries in the auto accident. The Seattle firefighters did put out the fire with no one being injured in the incident. I do not want to be in that driver's shoes when he is released from the hospital since he is a convicted felon and fleeing a police officer is a serious offense.

The driver will be in jail for a long time for his crime not to mention getting his auto wrecked.

Yes, he will be behind bars once he is discharged from the hospital. He was lucky that he was rescued and admitted to the hospital by the police otherwise he would have lost his life.

Well, there's another mouth that taxpayers will have to feed and care for. I've read at least one article where an older man committed a crime just so they'd put him in jail where he'd get 3 square meals and medical care at no cost to him.

I know what you mean about us taxpayers paying the bill to feed the prisoners.

That is many former police officers have gone on record as saying. Do not flee and your punishment will not be that severe.

You are right. I am sure the police officer and the bystander will be rewarded by city officials for their act of bravery.

The driver of the auto will likely spend a lot time behind bars this time.
