Parents spend a lot of time and money on their children's study. In order to make their children have a higher test score, they can be admitted to key high schools and good universities. All this is determined by the test paper score, so that children can have a good job and a good life after graduation. Some children can't stand such pressure and choose to jump off a building to commit suicide,Do you have such a thing there?

Yes, that happens here, too. I don't know the exact rate of deaths for teens here, but I think I read is it about 6,000 between the ages of 13 and 19 per year... I might be misremembering, though.

@zhangxueying Out of almost 42 million teens, 6,000 isn't that many. And yes, my memory was correct.

Yes, we have such a thing here too. The kids are overburdened and have lots of pressure to score good marks in the exams which decides their career and people feel ashamed if their kids don't score well. My parents also had such expectations from my parents. I was an average student so could not stand up to them but still managed to have a good job.

I daresay it does happen now and then here But not very often. It's sad that kids have the pressure piled on them that they do.

Actually I want to ask you - as young generations of this century. Are we as parents so difficult to talk to? That take own life is the only way out?
