Another Janet Evanovich Book

After I finished the third Stephanie Plum book I decided to take a break and read something more serious. I started ( Water for Elephants) I’d only read a few pages and I knew I didn’t want to read it right now, maybe at a later date. It seemed too sad and I need something cheerful. So I’m reading ( Twelve Sharp) by Janet Evanovich. If she doesn’t make you laugh I don’t know what will. Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter. She and her partner Lulu chase down people who have broken their bail and take them to jail. Her language is deplorable, brash and potty mouthed you have to love her. If you haven read any of the series you should.

@RubyHawk She has a three book, so far, series about Lizzie and Diesel about a woman who works in a bakery, making magically delicious cupcakes and Diesel who tracks down "gifted" people who've turned to the bad. (He "forces" Lizzie to help him find them. They are good and funny in the same style as the Stephanie books.) And another series with Fox and Hare. One is a criminal and the other isn't. It's an okay series but I prefer Stephanie and her antics.

@DaddyEvil I must make a note of that and find those books. I'm about to run out of Stephanie Plum.

I read a large variety of books but right now I cannot read anything serious. Right now comedy is good for me.

I may have read one Janet Evanovich book, no more than that though. So many authors to seek out; so many books. How does one get to them all? I have tons of unread books on my shelves and I continue to add to them instead of reading what I already have. That is book addiction.

@RubyHawk Oh dear, I keep buying more (there was a great sale at Canada's Book Outlet website this week), and I won two more today on Instagram. I'm excited to see what they send me off my wish list.

@patgalca That should be interesting. I tell myself that I must not bring home another book but it’s always tempting.

If you want a comedy and don’t get offended by a little vulgar language you’ll like Janet Evanovicks books. I’ve only read her books about Stephanie Plum but I think she writes others.

I just finised a Murakami book. It's been a long time since I had the time to read, but I stayed up half af night to finish it. I so missed that feeling and the book was perfect for me. Next in line is Evanovich

i love shows and books that make me laugh, I like to see the lighter side of things and keep my sense of humor. Movies or books that make me cry get tossed.

@mom210 I enjoy reading Sue Graften books. I think I like unusual women who are a little off the wall.
