If Someone Asked You.....

If someone asked you what your favorite tune of all time was what do you think you would say? For me, it is, hands down, "Green Onions" done by Booker T. and the MGs. Oh, sure I could have said so many others. Like Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth"( and nothing has changed), or even Jimmi Hendrix doing almost anything but, especially, his "Star-Spangled Banner" rendition. Another one is Black Water done by The Doobie Brothers.
I was born in the early '50s and music was funky then but, in the '60s and '70s rock was wonderful. I can recall many a doobie session listening to Pink Floyd, A/C D/C, Deep Purple, and Janis Joplin just to name a few. I liked some of the more folksy-type songs but never went in for hard rock or heavy metal. Now ask me if I like some of these bands nowadays and I wouldn't even know names or bands.
So, what would you say if asked?

I like Booker T and the MG song as well as the Village People song "Can't Stop The Music."

@celticeagle They are one of the few bands still live performing. I think they started in 1966.

I was born in the late 1960s, and like the bands, singers, and songs you have listed as well. But, my all-time favorite song is "Follow You Follow Me," from Genesis' ...And Then There Were Three...

Everything I have heard her do has been nice. She was in a movie recently. Great tunes from that. And she sings duets with Tony Bennett sometimes which I enjoy.
