Do you get to watch the sun rise?

I'm sitting here at my desk watching the sunrise. From my desk, it looks like a distant fire through the trees. When I go hiking at Inspiration Point, I have a clear view of the sunset. But seeing the sunrise is cool in a different way. I get up at 6 AM on days when I have to teach at the college or the preschool at 8 AM. On other days, I sleep in a bit. Do you get to watch the sunrise some of the time? The photo I'll attach is from a couple of years ago.

I watch the sunrise every morning, well when it is a sunny day, usually while we are having our second coffee. This morning it was beautiful, but I was outside grocery shopping and I forgot my camera at home. Beautiful photo.

@TheHorse I took this photo the past month of March, from the French door of our dining room.

Thanks. It was from January, a couple of years ago.

In the summer, the sun usually gets up before I do. This time of year, it's mostly hiding behind clouds.

I usually awake after sunrise. So it's been a long time since I saw one.

I've been seeing a lot of sunrises recently, which is a good thing, as it means I'm working a lot.

I do get to see the sunrise a pretty good bit. That does look like a distant fire.

This morning's sunrise was pretty, but not quite as striking as that January sunrise.

Great photo. I am usually on MyLot as the sun is coming up; and I don't see the sun rise except that there is a sunny spot on the carpet that grows brighter and brighter.

@TheHorse I could probably sit by the window and watch it. We have floor to ceiling windows.

Not always. One of the best sunrises that we had seen was a few days after the lockdowns had set in : last year March. I think I saw a good sunrise many years back in a less polluted hilly place.

I’m not a morning person, so if I want to watch the sun rise I have to go to a video on You Tube.

I can't see the sun from my house. Trees grow thickly to the east and west of me. I was awake early enough to watch it, though.

Do you have an expression in India like our, "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise"?

@TheHorse same, my son in age where he need to be in full attention. If I out of house before he wake up, he will make a lot of scene in morning. So I wait at bedroom while working on my laptop or my lotting these days
