Taking a Day Trip Tomorrow

The photo I got from the Ranger Station information site for the Cascade forest. In the morning, I'm taking off for a lake that I camped at a few times as a child. Clear Lake, Oregon. It's supposed to be nice weather so I'm hoping for a camp fire, fall color photos, and see how much I can remember from visiting long ago. The last time I visited there, I was about 13. I still lived in California but we traveled to Oregon yearly. One of my sisters lived there and we camped not far from the resort where she was living and working. The lake is beautiful and about an hour and half from where I live. It's a popular recreation spot in the Cascades. The water is so clear and blue. Some areas were closed due to the fires this year so I'm hoping there are areas to have a picnic. One memory I have is my dad took our Aqua Cat sailboat out one morning by himself. I had waxed the seats but forgot to tell him. He shifted to the other side and slid right off into the water. He was able to get to the boat and come back in. He walked in soaking wet (it was very cold out), and I thought I was in trouble. Instead, he began laughing and laughing. Gosh, I miss him. I'll check in tomorrow evening if my internet stays up. It's been off a lot lately. Crazy weather messing with my relay. Are you doing anything tomorrow? Giving out candy? Going trick-or-treating or just another day?
