Funny how musicians can find different areas of the body to use as inspiration for a song title. They use the senses like your eyes, limbs like arms and legs, and other pieces of your anatomy from head to toe. Quite a creative way to come up with a tune! So, this trivia series contains songs with some musical "body art," hope you enjoy them... Oh my goodness "Eye" have some more "Eye Popping" trivia songs for you to solve! Good luck on a very difficult quiz this time. Hope it's easy on your "eyes." The eyes always tell a story. They can indicate surprise, tears of sadness, disapproval, happiness and attraction. So, let's have a listen to The Moody Blues and "see" what their eye song is expressing in a tune called "The Story In Your Eyes." Seems the Moodies song was about worry. The worry of the world around us and what the future holds. Very true sentiments with all the chaos today! Anyway, hope you give the tune a listen and let me know if you like it. And now time for our trivia quiz... Whodunnit- Name these songs and artists: (Remember words in quotations can provide hints to the music trivia answers) 1. These two guys are the best-selling duo of all time surpassing The Everly Brothers in 1984. With songs like "Sara Smile," "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do), "She's Gone," and this mystery song this duo out of Philadelphia with the "Blue-Eyed Soul" sound has had quite a successful career. The title for this trivia song came from a movie about a couple of bumbling "detectives" starring Don Knots (Barney Fife) and Tim Conway. The song compares the challenges of a romance to the cloak-and-dagger work performed by detectives. This 1981 tune was one of six by this duo to hit the #1 spot on the Billboard charts. Final song hint: A person who is hired to "spy" on someone and report back their findings is called a "______________________________(s)." Do you know this Pop-Rock duo who achieved their greatest fame in the 70's-80's and their "detective-titled song?" 2. This song is about a special "lady with unique eyes." Not blue or brown are they, but instead the "same color as a lawn" making them extremely rare indeed. The 1970 tune reached #3 on the Billboard charts and is this "sweet named band's" best known song. This very "bewitching single" was written about one of the band members girlfriends, a "lady" who had "emerald-colored eyes." The group originated out of Denver under the name Chocolate Hair in 1968, but changed their name to a popular "mountain outside of Boulder, Colorado" after signing with Liberty records. Many music followers would say these guys were a one-hit wonder band, but no, the group had another Top Ten hit called "Don't Call Us, We'll Call You." Final band name clue: This group also has the "same name" as a "popular ski resort in Western Maine," though a total coincidence I'm sure. Fun fact: Only 2% of the population has the eye color mentioned in this song title. Do you know the name of this rock band and their catchy single with an eye color in the title? 3. This "doo-wop group" formed in 1953 and became very popular during the "mid 1950's." They are best known for an "eye song they covered and recorded in 1959." The singers have been hailed as one of the finest and most influential vocal groups in pop and doo wop music history. The group has the same name as a "long-legged bird," who "wades in the water" on "one leg," and appears "pink in color." Just add "THE" in front and you've got that vocal group's name! This romantic tune peaked at #11 on the U.S. Hot 100 chart. With this opening lyric you knew this guy was seriously in love with this one special girl. "My love must be a kind of blind love, I can't see anyone but you." Do you know this vocal group from way back in the 50's whose name is the same as a bird, and their romantic eye-titled song? Ok, hopefully these clues are a "feast for the eyes" and you are able to solve the songs and artists. If your stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. Or as Randy Newman would say, "You've Got A Friend In Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with another music trivia edition in 2 weeks. Hope you can wait till then. Stay tuned... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo- freepik 2

1. You don’t need to hire any private eyes to find out why those guys were Haulin’ Oats! (Unquestionably the LOUDEST concert I ever saw. Go figure!) 2. Well, here’s the thing: if you eat a sugar loaf you’ll see a green-eyed lady from the carbohydrate rush! Fun fact: the phone number you hear dialed at the beginning of “Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You” (that was LONG before the days of the push-button keypads, remember, that was still “rotary dial” days!) was the White House! 3. Oh, that song that Mrs. Beaumont always sang? I only have eyes for Hugh?! (Want some hilarity, watch the MST3K “best of” — or the whole movie — Lost Continent!) Maybe Mrs. Beaumont was a Flamingos dancer?

1. Wow, at first glance this one is a difficult one and I can't think of anything. I will read it again and read more slowly and see if it jogs my memory. I think I figured out the sons as "Private Eyes"? All I can come up with is Loggins and Messina. 2. This one is really tough for me. Is it Green Eyed Lady? 3. The Flamingos?
