Work from home extended hours, not overtime :(

November 12, 2021 9:37am CST
The scenario of office job before was an office based type. That an 8-hour work schedule is given to every employee. And in excess of 8-hours, overtime will be charge to the company. But, due to the change of working scenario due to pandemic situation, the office based type is now a work from home style. As a result, overtime has been removed, as the company claims it, extended working hours.

Working for long hours but under the same old rate of salary. That somehow bring disappointment to employees.

I think it's just a name change, overtime is extended working hours

Name change, yes, but it has also something to do with the salary. As some company do not pay overtime hours anymore.

That does not sound fair to me.

I bet you busier with work duties at home than when you were going to the office. And no overtime for the extra effort seems unfair. Do you wish you could go back to working at the office?
