November 15 - What I'm Thankful for Today

I have so much to be thankful for every day. Besides the usual things, health, food, and a place to live, I still have something every day to be thankful for. I'm sure you do too. I'm thankful I got up early enough to get my Bible study done and posted before I rushed out the door. I needed to scrape windows this morning. Yea, winter is here. I'm thankful for the wonderful workout I had in the pool and fitness center. I'm still doing my personal best in the fitness center. I'm also down another 2 pounds. I've now lost ten pounds that I gained feeling sorry for myself when only one person showed up for my housewarming. Of course, most of that is from the exercises I do for the lymphedema. I'm thankful for therapy this morning. She is very happy with the way my legs look. I've lost so much water from them, and yes, it shows on the scale. One thing she told me is that I'll always have lymphedema. It doesn't go away. Oh well, at least I know how to keep it under control. She told me to get some compression leggings as you wear for yoga. I went online to Amazon and found compression leggings and socks and ordered them. They're a lot less than she proposed from another online site. I'm thankful for the work I did on Wilderness Cry. I got over 3000 words today, and the scene still isn't finished. Though, I am starting a new chapter. I'll be on chapter 14 tomorrow. I have over 32K words. Less than 20K to go to finish this year's challenge. Today maintenance replaced faucets in the kitchen and bathroom. The water has been off all afternoon. I hope they turn it on soon. I love the new faucets, especially the one in the kitchen, shown above. The faucet pulls down into a hose. Awesome! Okay, that's my day. As soon as they turn the water back on I'm taking a shower to warm up. I'm freezing. In the meantime, I need to get my feet up, so I'm getting off the computer and will try to get more done tomorrow. Thanks for reading. The image is my new kitchen faucet.

The faucets are neat but I Wouldn’t know how to turn them on and off. Mine are the old fashioned kind.

Glad, you have lost weight, and that you are going to get some stockings, I had some one time they felt so good. Just happy, to have a house, and food, and reasonable health.

I hope they turn your water back on soon. There is not a place to turn it on under the sinks themselves.

I thought about that after I panicked last night. They never came back to turn them on. I got it figured out, but still didn't know how to do the kitchen sink. I do now. Everything is good. Someone will be here shortly to show me how to use the kitchen sink faucet.

I don't see your Bible study post up here..? New faucets? Interesting. Was something wrong with them or are all apartments getting them?

I am glad your legs are better and I hope that the water will not build up again too fast. Now you know what causes the sudden change of weight.

Thank you. Been thinking about you and here you are. My legs have been shrinking a lot with the exercises for the lymphedema. I'm just bummed this is another rest of my life thing I'll be dealing with. A woman will be here soon to show me how to use that faucet. I had to figure out how to get the water back on since they never returned.

Happy to hear that you're legs are doing better and that you're back in the pool. Yay for the weight loss too I have a kitchen faucet similar to yours and I love it especially the feature where it pulls down into a hose. So convenient.

Love your new faucet. I had looked at some compression socks too on Amazon. I put some on my mother's Christmas list. I think they might help with my legs not being so tight. Yesterday I'm thankful that I got through with my diamond painting. I'm sealing it tomorrow and then hopefully on Thursday I will frame it. I will post a picture of it next week.

We bought the faucet that pulls down into a hose, we like it:) I'm so glad your lymphedema is being kept under control. This guarantees you won't be forming another blood clot(very dangerous). The fluid draining out of your legs, this is wonderful news! Ten pounds is a big difference, congratulations!

I'm glad you like the faucet. I'm sure I will too. Thank you. I'm almost back where I was before I gained this weight from stupid eating. That's what I'm hoping will happen - no more blood clots.

@just4him Jay told me that he will be on blood thinner all his life. He had a blood clot in one leg and in both lungs. It's a miracle he didn't die from this!
