Funny how musicians can find different areas of the body to use as inspiration for a song title. They use the senses like your eyes, limbs like arms and legs, and other pieces of your anatomy from head to toe. Quite a creative way to come up with a tune! So, this trivia series contains songs with some musical "body art," hope you enjoy them... Now, I hope you have a good "head" on your "shoulders" when attempting to solve these body parts. The Beach Boys did when they recorded a song written by Brian Wilson and Tony Asher for the Pet Sounds album in 1966. This intimate song is asking the girl for a quiet moment so the guy can hear her heartbeat. Give the tune a listen and enjoy how wonderful non-verbal communication can be between people. Fun Fact: Brian Wilson sang lead and was the only Beach Boy to perform on this song. Bonus: Glen Campbell played guitar on this track! And now it's time to get "ahead" of these clues and solve today's trivia quiz... Whodunnit- Name these songs and artists: (Remember words in quotations can provide hints to the music trivia answers) 1. This song has a very similar "theme" as our trivia "video selection" by the "Beach Boys." A very romantic tune inspired by this artist observing couples while playing record hops (dance parties). He noticed while performing how the girls would lay "their heads on the guy's _________________. From that experience he had the idea for the "song title." In 1959 it was a very good year for this singer scoring a #1 hit with "Lonely Boy," and following that up with today's trivia tune which reached #2 on the Hot 100 charts. This pop singer had another huge hit two years earlier with "Diana," making this artist far and away the most successful "teenage singer of the '50s" who wrote his own songs. Fun fact: This singer was born in Canada and wrote "Johnny Carson's theme song for the Tonight Show." -Do you know the name of this singer/songwriter and his teenage love song? 2. This artist's music did not fit into any one genre, but rather was a mix of country, pop, and folk. Regardless, he became extremely popular in the 70's with his brand of tunes, charting with several, including "Rocky Mountain High," "Take Me Home Country Roads," and "Thank God I'm A Country Boy." This singer tried his hand at acting in 1977, starring opposite George Burns in the film "Oh, God." This tune was inspired and written on an early spring rainy day, when the musician looked forward to when he could spend more time outdoors enjoying the "sun." As the lyrics in the song says, having the sun "shine down" sure "makes me happy." The song eventually hit the #1 spot on the Billboard charts in 1974. Fun fact: This artist wrote "Leaving On A Jet Plane" which was recorded by Peter, Paul & Mary, becoming the group's only #1 song and biggest hit of their career. -Do you know this self-proclaimed Country Boy, who said "Colorado was his favorite state, and his song with a body part in the title? 3. This English Rock band was named after their "keyboard player", who was previously a member of the "Zombies." This song was written by Chris White, who was The Zombies' bass player. The tune was the group's only U.S Top 40 hit peaking at #5 on the Billboard charts in 1972. The song title is mentioned throughout each chorus. This song title is the same as a common phrase used when a person needs to "show pride and confidence" instead of being down or ashamed about something. In other words "Hold __________. Fun fact- "This song had one of the best keyboard solos in rock," said Rick Wakeman of Yes, -Do you know the name of this English band with ties to The Zombies and their "head-scratcher" of a song? Ok, hope you can keep a "cool head" and be able to solve the songs and artists. If your stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. Or as Randy Newman would say, "You've Got A Friend In Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with another music trivia edition in 2 weeks. Hope you can wait till then, Stay tuned... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo- pinterest.com

1. He also wrote “My Way” and one of my favorite Buddy Holly songs, “It Doesn’t Matter Anymore.” What’ll make you shake your head off your shoulder is that piece of crap “(You’re) Having My Baby.” Oh, Paul, how could you!!!! 2. As we used to sing Mr. Deutschendorf‘s song: Sunshine on my shoulder gives me sunburn Sunshine in my eyes can make me blind Sunshine on the water shows pollution Sunshine almost always makes me cry You’re welcome. 3. Argent means “silver” in Italian, but I’ll hold my head up and say that song was pure gold! Happy Thanksgiving!! Eat your head off with great food!

Yes, Frankie made that version a classic! And Paulie had a hit with that comeback song Seems it's hard to resist a tune with "Baby" in the title? Your rewriting of Mr. Denver's lyrics is "head and shoulders" hilarious Thanks for the Thanksgiving wish and humor! Have a happy Turkey Day too
