Smash And Grab

This seems to be getting more and popular, and there are so many of them. I would be terribly afraid to be in a store where and that many people come in and just start breaking things counters in order to steal, I was thinking it may get even worse the closer we get to Christmas. The high end stores seem to be the target. But one can never tell. Hope none of you experience that.

I also heard about many cases in California, because of their laws, as @CarolDM very well explained.

I’ve seen on the news, too. It’s terrible. Haven’t seen it around here, yet, and hope they stay away and get thrown in prison.

@popciclecold I almost don’t blame them. The prices of luxury goods have gone up so darn much!

So far I've never had that happen. I do know of a few incidents where someone decided to drive cars through buildings to steel.

In Lake Charles there have no reports of a real life "Robocop" scenes where the police went on strike and criminals had a field day stealing from stores in Detroit in the movie. In this town that is small, our police officers will not tolerate such foolishness.

@Deepizzaguy I am afraid they will start here, even though we are a small town.

@popciclecold Our sheriff Tony Mancuso does his best to maintain law and order in Calcasieu Parish.

Many cases in California were due to the laws. They knew they would not be arrested for stealing under a certain dollar amount. So why not I guess is how they thought. Crazy laws. I hope they will change.

@popciclecold It was true unfortunately. The employees just stood by and watched.
