Baton Rouge resident Andrew McLindon, 53, is one person who is a likeable person since he found a new venture to work with after his retirement from his previous line of work which was real estate and construction work. Andrew has found his calling in life after retirement by finding a way to build bicycles for physically handicapped children with the help of volunteers and donors from around our nation who donate money and bicycles to his Andrew McLindon Foundation. I like the way that Andrew has found a way to give back to people in need with the help of his family and friends who build the bicycles for children who have special needs so they can play with their bicycles with other children since none of us want to watch the parade go by sitting on the sidelines in life.

It’s a worthy cause. So many children will be happy to have bikes.

@RubyHawk That was a message that I remember from a PSA that was played on television of the former Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS) in Panama when the person doing the sales pitch mentioned to start a new career after retirement.

That's a wonderful thing to do. A retired man here builds new wheelchairs from old ones for people in African states that have been hit by war.

I bet he gets way more satisfaction in retirement from his helping those in need than he ever did from his career jobs.

I agree with you since I remember when I lived in Panama watching the English speaking station when a middle aged man said on a PSA that there is life after leaving a previous line of work by giving back or starting a new career.
