Surprise, surprise - how nice is this?

I received a very lovely surprise in the mail yesterday – a very pretty Christmas card all the way from Green Bay in Wisconsin. I’m sure many of you can guess the sender – myLotter Valerie. Thanks Valerie for remembering me at this time of year. I know many others have been blessed with cards from you too. The cover features a cardinal which I’ve always thought were just beautiful. We have some very blue and very green birds here but none that are all over red. It’s going to be hot here today. I’m hoping Vince will wake up soon and we’ll be able to go to a garage sale which has some garden pots for sale.

Nice card I got a nice gift from a mylotter, I guess I should say former mylotter. I think she has quit unfortunately.

@JudyEv The only good thing is sometimes they come back. Online sites are like that though People drift away and sometimes come back and sometimes don't With some you wonder what happened to them? John Roberts is a case in point.

@Chakimmm I have a niece who lives in Luxor in Egypt. She and her family are Muslim so they would celebrate these holidays too.

@JudyEv In our country the majority of the population is Muslim, and we often celebrate big days, but the most important thing is when Eid al-Fitri and Eid al-Adha are Islamic holidays.

That was sweet of Valerie to send you a Christmas card. And it's a beautiful one too. I love seeing the various friendships that have developed here on myLot between members. It restores my faith in humanity. I hope you and Vince enjoy your weekend. Try to stay cool if you can!

I can understand that.

For years, the only Christmas cards you could buy had snowy scenes and snowflakes. Nowadays, any families near the beach take their Christmas lunch to the beach! lol

@JudyEv That's so sweet. One of the mylotters promised to send me a card last year. She took my address and all, I have not received any. I was insulted at that time. I assumed she noticed that I am from one of the Southeast Asian countries.

My wife's family lives in Green Bay (well part of it does). we've been many times. lovely place, but the bay, isn't green!
