Among the loveliest and popular of Christmas songs is "White Christmas" which was written by Irving Berlin and became popular in the holiday movie "Holiday Inn" in 1942. Later in 1954, the song was part of the movie by the same name "White Christmas," The song won at the 15th Academy Awards are the Best Original Song. Since then the song has been sung in many different versions but the favorite is the one sung by Bing Crosby who also starred in the movie.
One of Crosby's sentimental remembrances about this song was when in December of 1944 he was part of a USO show along with Bob Hope and the Andrews Sisters in northern France. Crosby remembered that he came out to sing "White Christmas" reducing 100,000 G.I.s to tears and trying hard not to cry himself. Many of those soldiers were killed in the Battle of the Bulge just a few days later and Crosby himself is now swinging on a star and perhaps crooning this same song each Christmas that passes.

@Marilynda1225 only wish I could listen to it on Christmas Eve with snow falling outside but not going to happen in Florida

I would put this song on as the snow fell outside in Latvia but now in Florida, I can only remember @mom219

@RasmaSandra I've heard many artists sing this song, but nobody does it better. When I asked Alexa to turn on Christmas music yesterday, this was the first song.

No one can top that classic. Although I do enjoy Andy Williams "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year."

I asked Judy, from Australia, if people in Australia laugh when singing “White Christmas” there, given that it’s at the start of summer. 
NOTHING like Bing’s version. Biggest-selling record of all time. (The Elton John tribute to Princess Diana briefly dethroned it, but there have been over 100,000,000 [one hundred million] copies of “White Christmas” sold over the years.)

that was one of the few songs my dad knew all the words to! he and I would sing that in the car on the way to Wisconsin.
he also knew Jingle bells and a variation of white Christmas but had different words for them!
