Off to play an outdoor gig today in the bitter cold. Wish me survival!

We have an outdoor gig today at a local Historical Society. It's a place we've played several times before. It's one of those "why am I doing this?" gigs. No pay. No free beer. No free BBQ. But what the heck. It's just a chance to get out there and do our thing. Sadly, though, the weather is not cooperating. It's in the 50s now, and about as dreary as a day could be. We'll be playing shortly before sunset. I hope the temps at least get into the 60s. Anyway, wish me luck. It'll be good to get out there and see my friends.

It's chilly for playing guitar. But I think temps were in the 60s. I was comfortable, as it turned out.

If you carry a cap and a jacket plus sweater then you have nothing to worry about. Here, it was getting colder in between due to rains but not so much now. My only concern is with the evening winds when I feel the cold on my neck. That is why I prefer jackets and sweaters with zippers. And needless to say "Best of luck" !!
