December 5 - What I'm Thankful for Today

This is the day the LORD has made and I WILL REJOICE and be GLAD in it.
I wonder if today you will focus on what happened and not the praise that comes out of it, as you did on Friday when I had so much to be thankful for but you only noticed I got food poisoning and not that I was already better and didn't suffer any side effects from it.
Today is Sunday. I'm thankful for the privilege to go to church. I don't know when it started snowing, but it's still snowing. It looks beautiful outside. However beautiful it is, the roads were slippery on the way to church this morning. The plows hadn't been out on the main roads yet. At one point in my journey to the church, I avoided having an accident instead of becoming an accident and ended up in the ditch. It was a scary moment as I spun completely around facing the other direction before I came to a stop in the ditch.
I called my church leader to let him know I was in a ditch and where to find me. I knew my next call would be to get a tow truck to get me out of the ditch. However, God intervened. His name is Chris. I believe he was an angel driving an F150. He had the triangle for the road so people would know to slow down, and he had a strap to pull me out of the ditch. He also made certain I got turned in the right direction, stopping traffic until I was safely on my way.
I'm very thankful because not only was I not hurt, there is no damage to the car. My church leader came out to find me and got there when I was out of the ditch and followed me back to his home where we meet. He also followed me most of the way home when it was time to leave. I give God all the praise for sending Chris, His angel, and helping me this morning.
God promised to take care of me, and He did. I'm grateful and blessed to be His child.
What are you thankful for today? Remember, there is always something to be thankful for. Don't focus on the negative. Focus on the positive. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Today's snow.

I am thankful for a nice day working on surveys and being able to reach my goal of getting at least $30 dollars the week ending today.

I am thankful to know you're alive and well, all be it a bit shaken up. That situation could've ended up a lot worse. And, while you had faith I'm sure losing control didn't feel fun. It's also good the car wasn't damaged and is still usable.

Thank Goodness that you are alright, although I am sure that you are a bit shaken up by the spin out.
its so hard when you try to avoid a collision, but thankfully you ending up in the ditch hopefully didn't cause any damage to your car as a collision would.
Its awfully damp here today, I just noticed that something is coming down outside, I'm not sure if its rain or freezing rain.
Every day I give thanks for the love that I have in my life and for the warmth and security that comes along with that.

That must have been scary. Glad you are okay and so is the car. Chris really was a big help and sounds like a good man.
I hope we get snow soon, going nuts without any. Haven't even had a single flake yet.

Yes, it's the only car I have. I'm not driving it today. We have winds up to 45 mph. My son is picking me up to get the laundry done.
