Rainy Days

I’ve cleaned out dresser drawers and checked to see how much Christmas paper and ribbon I have from last year. Went through all my fabric to see just what I have, threw a lot of odds and ends in the trash and with mylot I’ve been busy all day. I hurried to the mailbox between showers but before I got there it was raining again. I was soaked when I got back to my apartment. Had to change my clothes and towel dry my hair. My cold is still hanging on so I hope getting wet doesn’t make it worse. I’ve started reading Without Pity by Ann Rule. She’s one of my favorite authors of true murder cases. I probably read it before years ago but I’ve mostly forgotten the story so I’ll enjoy reading it again. How many of you have read Ann Rules books. She’s one of the best, Who is your favorite author?

I have read a lot of her books. She is a great author. I will have to see if the library might have that. I am a fan of true crime. Did you read A Stranger Beside me? She worked with Bundy in a help center. She was totally shocked to find out he was a monster.

@RubyHawk Yes, what a shock that would have been. She also was a police officer at one time, and probably had some training in spotting criminals, but she never suspected him.

@snowy22315 She was the last one to believe he did it. She was also a crime reporter at one time. That woman got around.

I'd try to get warmed up if you haven't done so by now. That will help you if you're still sick.

I don’t believe I’ve read Kathy Reichs. What does she write about? I loved all Stephen kings books but The Dome. It didn’t even sound like Stephen King. Did you like it?

I hope you get well from colds , are you takibg cold medicines as well? Please get better. As for my favorite author I have two but they write a different genre of stories. One was Francine Pascal the author of Sweet Valley High series books which I read when I was still in high school , I havent bought some of her books these days because our favorite bookstore just closed and we couldnt find any store who has it. Another favorite of mine is Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight Saga book who was made into a movie. Its a vampire-human love story type , I havent boight her latest books because it kinda is expensive hahaha .

Wow, you got soaked by the rain. Immediately shampoo, and drink warm water. If I have a cold, I usually drink lime juice mixed with warm water and a little salt. then drink. You can add sugar to make it sweeter too.

I can't recall any books I actually really liked but I do recall reading a lot about different animals back when I was a kid and loved to learn about kritters like wolves, coyotes, lynx, bobcats, possoms and racoons.

Enjoy reading. I have not read anything other than what I need to read for my work in a long time. Struggling to find some time to do that. That's a beautiful quilt in the picture. Looks like it's handmade. I love the pattern.

@arunima25 That’s so nice that your group donated to charity. The quilt you see in the picture is one I like least. It was made from odds and scraps I had left over from other quilts. That quilt is simple to make. It’s made from square blocks. All you need do is sew the blocks together and sew to backing. You could do it.

@RubyHawk You are talented quilt maker.. It's beautiful. I had attended group quilt making for two weeks some years back. I enjoyed it. We made few quilts from the unused and old clothes and bedsheets from our homes and donated it to the shelter home for old people. It was fun doing it in groups. It was a part of charity program at our school where students and teachers participated. I could never do one for myself.

It is raining here in the mountains too. It has been raining for days and we won't see the sun apparently until Monday. Rain depresses me so much and it rains a lot more in Georgia than it does in CT. I have never read any of Ann Rule's books. I like to read non-fiction books about how to improve my life and my health, and I also like to read biographies. Happy new year. I hope your cold gets better quickly.
