Kitchen is coming together but the countertop install is pushed back

The handigal moved her jobs around so she could spend the day getting as much of our kitchen furnished as possible. They got the rest of the drawers in, the tire kicks on, the baseboards and heater vents as well as the handles to open the cupboards and drawers. All that's left is the plumbing for the sink and dishwasher after it's or back in place. I have before and after pics. Before the tire kicks and after. Then before the remaining drawers and after asking with the handles. I got a call from the company installing the countertops and they just heard that they're on backorder. He hopes it will be just a week but we shall see. We were all ready to begging eating at home again. I'm glad we didn't buy to much for that

@thislittlepennyearns this is a vinyl, a floating floor called smart core from Lowes. We don't have animals but I'd think it would work but you'd want to ask.

@MarshaMusselman We are looking for floors to put down within the next few months. Do you think its child and dog proof?? We have concrete right now, we had the cheap fake wood flooring down and it got ruined with the last batch of puppies.

@Chakimmm I will share what's new to my kitchen once I can get pics of them. But mostly it will have things I've owned for awhile.

Thanks, is we don't hear anything by Friday or might be another week. Initially we were told the end of December, but whether that's the week leading up to Christmas or after remains to be seen.

@DianneN we happy about that. Now to keep my driveway and sidewalks free from snow and ice, that's my current task.

@JudyEv I don't think I'd try. My sister says anything can be returned. I'll have to call them to see what my window is and whether it relates to order date or shipment date. If shipment I'd have until near March. The weather could be better then but possibly not. But I wouldn't try to make the trip myself. My sister knows the way better with the help of gps still. She's planning a trip there with another friend maybe in Feb. I don't know whether she'd be willing to take my stuff back or not. I'd probably have to drive because I have a mini van and it's open for longer pieces inside.

They're nydalia, not sure if the spelling. Although three in the island needed little ones since there's not enough clearance in one side. We have extra things we could return the problem is the weather isn't great right now and opened things only have a six month window.

@MarshaMusselman That would make it difficult - if you can't return stuff. Would you be able to sell it maybe?

That would be nice. I'm tired of washing dishes in the bathroom and cooking minimally at home.

Initially we were only going to replace the floor but for Ikea cabinets too since they are less expensive and we wanted drawers in the bottom all the way around to use the backs better and make it easier to find what's stored there.
