A great big THANK YOU to everyone who checked in with me after the storms last night. We were blessed here in Louisville, but oh, those photos coming out of western Kentucky.
Please pray for those folks. Here’s the next song on my list of favorite songs that Bob Dylan wrote but someone else did.
#7: You Ain’t Going Nowhere - The Byrds
Let’s face it, there could be a “top ten Dylan covers by the Byrds” countdown. In fact, there was a compilation album of Dylan songs that the Byrds recorded.
I suppose the most famous of those Dylan covers is “Mr. Tambourine Man,” but my nod goes to this great tune from the Gram Parsons-era Byrds. We sing this every year at the “picking party” at the country music conference.
The Byrds and Dylan were a winning combination in the 60s.
