The Reason for the Season

To those who celebrate the holiday season, the Christmas, the reason for the season is not about the food we prepare. Not all about the piece of clothing that we will wear during the Christmas day. Not all about how full the table is. Not all about how many gifts we give or receive. Not all about the Christmas bonus or the 13th month pay. It is all about the Love of God. The birth of Jesus Christ. I am grateful, forever grateful that I received the gift, I don't deserve it but God willingly offered it to me. I will always be thankful not just this season but to all the seasons in my life - high or low, happiness or sadness, with or without blessings, I will still praise the Lord.

So true. Christmas is overly commercialized here. Very few even go to church all year.

Amen. great analogy. Christmas is the birthday of Jesus Christ, we are celebrating His birthday. What better way to do it than to spread, love,. peace and joy to other people. Thank you for the reminder.

I agree with all my heart that it is about the love of God which he expressed through the birth of Jesus Christ.
