December 15 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been good.
I'm thankful for the decision not to go to the Y today. I had a flair-up and couldn't go, but as soon as I walked out the door, I found it dense with fog. It would have been difficult to impossible to drive at that hour of the morning.
I'm thankful I got the laundry done early. I left the apartment at 7 to find dense fog. It was still foggy on my way home.
I'm thankful I stopped on my way home at Target and finished my Christmas shopping. I have my son and his girlfriend taken care of. They each got a couple of presents. I hope they like them.
I'm thankful for the time I've been here today. More than usual with the book I'm working on. I should get the notifications caught up in a couple of days. 
It's wonderful seeing what you're doing in your part of the world.
I'm thankful for the work I did today on my friend's book. Currently, I'm waiting on a phone call from her so I can proceed. I hoped to get a lot more done today.
I'm thankful I needed to go in the kitchen and make lunch. I found the oven on and remembered I put a spaghetti squash in the oven a couple of hours before and turned off the oven. I hope it isn't overcooked. I forget everything when I sit at the computer. I should have told Alexa to give me a 45-minute timer. I've now taken it out, but it's still too hot to cut.
I'm thankful I got a call from the mailroom. My turkey bacon arrived boxed in a large styrofoam cooler with dry ice. I have one package in the fridge and the other four in the freezer. My breakfast is back on track.

Oh, I'm not happy about the lack of snow and the amount of green because the temps went into the 50s today. I can only hope for a white Christmas with a week to go.

Seems like a productive day. Guess your body was warning you not to go to the Y today. I'm sure you found ways to make up for it.

Five days early. I didn't know who buzzed me when the box arrived. A really huge box with another smaller box inside and four packs of bacon. It seemed like overkill, but they had to keep it from going bad somehow.
Thank you. Today it's the wind I'm dealing with.

I'm thankful for safety on the road today. I drove to Kroger's Pharmacy to pick up my blood pressure medication. It was the closest pharmacy that has Losartan, without dye. Driving 63 miles for medication? A woman does what she has to do, for this situation.

Yes, it did. I just finished breakfast and it's different from the other turkey bacon I've bought but tasted very good!

I am thankful that the housing inspectors came to see the house looking nice this afternoon. I am also grateful that this site paid all of us writers who qualified for a payday.
