December 20 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. A hair-pulling day, but good.
I'm thankful I got up in time to get the Bible study done, and posted before I rushed out the door for the Y. I had a wonderful workout in the pool and fitness center. Even sleeping in a half-hour makes a huge difference.
I'm thankful for getting the notifications finished early this morning. It was good seeing what you're all doing in your part of the world.
I'm thankful for the work I did with my friend to get her book published. I don't like her computer. I think it hates me. It's not published yet, but it should be tomorrow. I spent 7+ hours at her place working on it only to have it mess up. I'm trying to get the manuscript approved in the publishing process. As I did so, the page numbers and headers messed up on me. I couldn't get it straightened out on her computer so had to bring the thumb drive back to my computer to get it straightened out again. Yes, the hair-pulling part. I have it sorted out again the way it needs to be. So tomorrow, hopefully, the publishing program will approve the manuscript and we can move forward to publishing it. I told her it should take no more than half an hour. SHOULD! We'll see tomorrow.
Okay, that's my day. It's late and I need to go to the Y tomorrow to exercise off today's calories. She took me out to dinner after I had the manuscript straightened out again. She's planning to take me out again when we have it published. I promised her I would get it published before Christmas. She's still in the hope mode that it will be published before the end of the year. Oh, ye of little faith.
What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

I am thankful that my relatives sent my sister some gift cards for Christmas so we can buy food from the pizza parlor this week.

Well, the publishing process can be a real nail-biter I am sure. However, I am sure you'll do well and get it done. It's always a pain when technology feels like it's against you.
I'm thankful for the rain, thankful still, that it started after my husband returned home from work.

Yes, it can be a nail-biter. We'll get it done. I agree with you. Sometimes I hate technology.
I'm glad the rain waited until after your husband got home.

We'll get it published today. I needed to make an adjustment between the template and the manuscript. It needs to fit in their guidelines. When I set the parameters of her manuscript with the template guidelines, I thought it lined up. However, that was not the case. I'm sure it does now and it will only be a matter of uploading it again to the publishing process and moving forward.

I also had a hair pulling day yesterday. I decided to try to find my resume through my email (I had my resume on my old computer) and update it. The problem was that I don't have Word anymore and the resume was old. I need to redo my cover letter too. But I got so frustrating with the resume I decided to do the cover letter later. I also got frustrated with a job I was doing on MTurk. But I am thankful that I heard from Chris and he is arriving on Thursday or Friday and he is staying for a few days.

Glad you were able to straighten out the page numbers and headers for your friends book. Computers are a wonderful tool but can be very frustrating.
I am thankful for the cooler weather though it won't last long. I wish it would. Have a blessed evening.
