How are your Christmas preparations going?

I've packed my Mum's Christmas presents. I've written my Christmas cards and posted the ones that needed posting. The only ones not posted or given out are my Mum and Step-Dads.
Are you looking forward to Christmas? How are your Christmas preparations going?
What are you giving as presents this Christmas? What are you getting, or hoping to get?
Because all my Grandma's and Grandad's have died, and Aunties and Uncles, the presents that I get each year have decreased. So I bought myself a load of stuff which when it arrived I didn't open straight away. I'm going to open them all on Christmas day, as presents to self. I've still got a few parcels to come but most have arrived now. I'm going to try and forget what's in them so that it will be a surprise when I open them on Christmas day!

Pretty told me she didn't want to bother with Christmas a year or two after she graduated from college. I still try to find something she'll like but it's getting harder and harder to do that. (This year I thought I'd found her some nice but inexpensive bracelets but, unfortunately, they couldn't be shipped to our P.O. Box and we don't give out our home address. I did tell Pretty what I'd tried to get her and she was just as happy they not to get them.) She's hard to buy for at the best of times. *sigh*

I am about as ready as I will be for it. We will be going to Mike's moms home on Christmas eve. Not looking forward to it as the nephew who always seems to start fights will be in. We will try and leave as quickly as we can. We are looking forward to when it will just be the two of us and leave all the family foolish drama behind.

Oh, gosh. I hope he doesn't cause any trouble. The only trouble we used to have at Christmases gone by is when the grandmas started bickering! Try and have a nice time.

Thank you very much. I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to eat my salmon while my Mum and step-dad are eating the turkey. I don't like turkey any more, and even if I wasn't macrobiotic I still wouldn't eat turkey because it tastes too dry to me.
