December 23 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day.
I'm thankful I went to the YWCA this morning. I didn't think I would because I woke with a bad headache. I also woke late, so deciding to go meant getting ready and leaving. I got a good workout in the pool and fitness center this morning and my headache was gone shortly after I got there. So, I'm grateful for the workout and the fact my headache was gone.
I'm thankful for the shopping I did after the Y this morning. I didn't expect to do any more Christmas shopping. I wanted a new poinsettia plant as the one I had died. At least all the flowers and leaves dropped off in a matter of a couple of weeks. I forgot about the plant when I walked into Wal-Mart. They didn't have any anyway, so might be why I forgot about it until I left. I walked out with a few more last-minute gifts for my son and his girlfriend, and a pair of shoes for me, and a new wallet. I also got the dog next door some treats.
I'm thankful I decided to check one more place for a poinsettia this afternoon and found one. The last red one in the store. You can see it in the photo above.
I'm thankful for the trace of snow we got today. It was lovely as it came down.
Okay, that's my day. The gifts are wrapped and under the tree, and I'm going to relax and enjoy holiday movies. The Y is closed tomorrow, so I'll be walking in the hallway tomorrow for my exercise.

I am thankful I found my lost phone, although it is a bit worse for wear. I would get another one, but most re 5G and we only have 4G around here..

I think for some years, most 5G phones would have to work on 4G.
Things would however change in the coming days.

I am thankful that my relatives were able to find a local mechanic to fix the brakes and fix the lights on the auto before Christmas today.

@just4him We have had a few warmer than normal winters here now. I will take them. But I do thing the world is warming.

@wolfgirl569 It won't be until next year. We have rain today, so the snow we got yesterday is gone. They're calling for a mix tomorrow. I really don't want rain on Christmas.

Hmm, it seems to me, it should get colder since we just started winter. It must be climate change.
Thank you. Yes, exercise does make a person feel better, physically and emotionally.

That is a love Christmas plant, I will finish my decorating tomorrow and then Christmas Eve dig out all my Christmas videos and just watch them, I hope you have a Merry Christmas, I am thankful Christmas is finally here,

Great that you got the plant that you wanted!
So is the pool water warm enough?
The centre would be surely charging a good fee.
I am regularly walking these days even though it is a 10 to 15 minutes walk, but it is regular.

The plant looks nice....that is good to get a few last minute gifts, I am sure those who receive them will enjoy them. That's great you got some snow. We got some snow too, but then it rained the rest of the evening so it all got washed away with the rain (thankfully).
