It is obvious that parties are having a negative impact on the pandemic.Parties are causing the virus to spread and mutate more. This is because the majority of the people who attend these parties donot keep on their masks for the entire event. Why dont countries put a ban on parties until the pandemic is over. A country can "ban" anything it wants but if the people don't care, they'll ignore the ban and there is little the government can do about that.

They can impose a fine for those who keep the parties illegally

@Shavkat That will be a sure deterrent because they would not want to pay the heavy fines

By askme123 @askme123 Here in Israel outside we do not have to wear masks but inside places we are supposed to wear masks but most people here do not or do that or social distance. Countries may stress the fact that we need to protect ourselves and wear masks and social distance but it is up to the people in each country to follow rules.

People need to realize that when they keep these crowded parties they are also putting other people's lives at risk. The virus will also take longer to go away.

@askme123 So so true what you said. People just do not think or at times care and respect others. You are so right that it will last longer unless people will listen to the rules we should follow.

I agree with you. A law should be imposed to avoid the spread of the disease. When people won't listen a stricter law should be implemented. But some countries view this as some sort of dictatorship and violation of individual freedom, so they don't impose stricter rules. But, if they were to impose rules, I would certainly obey them, just like what I'm doing now. The citizenry should cooperate with the government, if they want to go back to their normal lives more quickly.

When our governor banned large gatherings, there were many who were thumbing their noses at her and had large parties, gatherings and others.

If people want to have parties no one can stop them. I have a concert coming up in March but I won't be going. But only because of the vaccine mandate.

Restricting parties and other crowded events will help to minimize the spread You can still catch and pass on the covid virus when you are fully vaccinated.

@askme123 but covid is not going anywhere anytime soon. Can’t just keep restricting things and having people stay away from each other.
