Tournament of Roses Parade 2022

Watching the Tournament of Roses parade brings a little normalcy to my world. It is showing now on the RFD channel with no commercials. You can also see it on ABC & NBC with commercials. Amazing the time it takes to make these floats with so many roses and other material. Something different to watch in the background as I finish laundry. This is the 133rd year for this parade.

You know what I find kind of sad: the Tournament of Roses Parade was “the granddaddy of them all.” When I was a kid TWO networks carried it, that’s how big it was! Now? It’s on RFD. Anyway, enjoy the parade, and happy new year to you!!!!

Yes I know, but I will take it. No commercials and all the fluff that goes with the other networks.

@LadyDuck Oh that is great. Amazing details. I like the backstory of how the floats are made.

I'll have to look that up on YouTube, I don't have cable so I can't watch anything on normal TV channels.

The only parade I've heard of is the Macy's. Is that still a thing?

I use to watch it with my Nana and Pop Pop when I was growing up. The floats are beautiful. 133 years, that is a long tradition.
