January 2 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been a very good day. This is the day the LORD has made and I WILL REJOICE and be GLAD in it.
I'm thankful I got all my exercise done today. First a walk in the hallway this morning when I took the garbage down. Second, my lymphedema exercises while I watched the game tonight.
I'm thankful I got the notifications done early. It was a fun time here this morning as I visited with you and interacted with you.
I'm thankful for the privilege of going to church today. Our service was this afternoon because one of the families, we're only three, was traveling from Upper Michigan back to Green Bay after visiting their family for the holidays. We had our Christmas service with dinner and white elephant gift exchange, and a wild trivia game. I'm not usually good at trivia, but I did okay. I took an applesauce/raisin cake loaf, our leader made lasagna, and someone brought cheesy potatoes. Then there were two pies - pumpkin and French silk. I had the French silk. It was all very good.
The capstone for today was a solid win over the Vikings in Sunday Night Football that just got over. The Packers sealed the first seed in the playoffs with a 37-10 win in a very cold game at Lambeau. It was the Ice Bowl all over again. Definitely a Frozen Tundra. All games go through Lambeau on the way to Super Bowl. I'm really hoping we make it all the way to the Super Bowl. We haven't been there since Super Bowl 45 against the Stealers. We won that one. We can do it again.
Okay, it's going on 11 PM. I'm not going to the Y in the morning. I expect to sleep until at least 5 tomorrow morning. We'll see.

No, you didn't miss it. Thank you. I'll get a nap later. I don't know why Alexa woke me at 5 this morning. It was a shock to my system with not getting to bed until almost midnight.
Today will be good. I have things I need to do - work on my teaching for Sunday and Where Eagles Soar. I'll also be here. I need to go to the store. I'm planning sloppy joes and don't have hamburger sauce.

@just4him 20s here which isnt bad if I could get used to it. We have had so much warmer weather that this feels extremely cold. Hope you get more white stuff soon

@wolfgirl569 Right now, the 20s would feel like a heatwave with our single digits and low wind chill.
I hope so too. At least if it snows, it will warm up.

@yoalidudes No, I don't think so. I normally get up at 2:30 because I go to the YWCA for swimming and fitness at 5 AM. I get my Bible study done before I go, usually. Not always. Because I normally get up that early, my internal clock wakes me at that time.

I'm so glad you're getting your salary tomorrow. I hope they won't hold it back anymore. I don't know how you can live and pay bills when you don't get paid.
