Mark and Sheri Jones are counting their blessings after they survived a EF2 tornado that was in the path of where they were standing in on Saturday morning when at a Marathon gasoline station in Hopkinsville Kentucky. When Mark and Sheri saw the huge tornado coming in their direction, the couple fled the gasoline station and took shelter at an Auto Zone next door. They must have a Guardian Angel looking out for them since the tornado passed over where they were pumping gasoline but did not cause any serious damage to the Auto Zone building where they fled until the storm passed. What is incredible is that if you and I would ever think that a tornado would hit Hopkinsville Kentucky on New Years Day, we would be considered oddballs. The Jones couple are grateful that they will be getting a new auto after the tornado destroyed their current auto. The silver lining in the dark cloud of life from their point of view.

That is true since tornadoes have been known for destroying buildings where persons go inside to seek shelter.

@Marilynda1225 That is true since I have never heard of a tornado on New Years Day.

I live in a country with many earthquakes yet I think that tornados are a lot worse.

In my area my concerns are hurricanes and tornadoes which are very dangerous to be around.

@Deepizzaguy I imagine that houses are built with cellars.

Same here since tornadoes are even stronger than hurricanes.

They had all their Guardian Angels looking out for them and I say heck, with the auto as long as they are alive and well,

I agree with you since material items can be replaced but not a human life.

I agree with you that the couple survived the effects of the tornado. I know they feel losing a car in a tornado.

They were very lucky to escape and possibly even luckier to get a new car out of it.

You are right. Tornadoes are even deadlier than hurricanes.

I agree with you that the couple were able to survive a tornado that was coming in their direction by seeking shelter inside of another building as their shelter.
