January 4 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good day to all of you on this cold winter morning in Wisconsin. I needed to layer up this morning when I left.
I'm thankful for getting up this morning without the wish to turn over and go back to sleep. I went to bed early last night and had a full night's sleep. Full night for me at 5.5 hours.
I'm thankful for the pool this morning. It felt warm with how cold it was outside. The hot tub felt good too. I had a great workout and got all my exercises done for the lymphedema. I also had a good workout in the fitness center. I did half an hour each on the elliptical and bike. It felt good and it didn't feel like I overdid it, so that was good.
I'm thankful I remembered to get gas this morning on my way home. I was disappointed that the gas station decided to do pre-pay only. That's a pain. I always pay inside after I get my gas so I know how much I'm spending on gas and know I'm getting enough to fill the tank. Having to guess how much an empty tank needs with how much gas costs, is not my cup of tea. However, I'm thankful I guessed right. When I turned on the ignition, I had a full tank.
I'm thankful I remembered to stop at Walgreen's this morning on my way to the YWCA to get my prescription for Eloquis. I have one dose left, so I'll need it tomorrow. I'm certain I won't need more. It feels like the blood clot is gone. I hope so. I have a doctor's appointment next month to verify that.
I'm thankful I went shopping this morning for ingredients for chop suey I plan on having this week or next. Using my new insurance food card really helped.
I'm thankful for the nap I got when I got home. I tried to be on the computer when I got home, but with all the exercise, I guess I was tuckered out. I got a two-hour nap.
I'm thankful for the work I accomplished on Where Eagles Soar. It's coming along well. I keep hoping I'll get to the place where the book straightens out and I'm not fixing every sentence and paragraph.
I'm also thankful that as opposed to yesterday, I'm not hungry as I was yesterday. So that's a good thing. I didn't eat breakfast until 9:30 and I was good with that.
Okay, that's my day. I still have a lot of notifications as I haven't been here much today, but it's time I got off the computer. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
I won't be going to the Y tomorrow. We have a winter storm coming in at 10 tonight and will last through the day tomorrow, so I will have new snow pictures tomorrow.

It sounds like a good day! I have my last full day off today --at least for a while. I start up teaching again tomorrow and then it is a full tilt run to May--

Glad to hear your new book is going well. I am thankful I had a quiet day was able to get my blogging done, I have decided in the new year to blog at least once a week, I have four themed blogs and so I can get my writing out there and get people interested I am doing my best otherwise last year I often found that is got so busy with other things that perhaps I blogged twice a month the most, I hope the winter storm does not bring you too much snow,

@just4him one winter many years ago now in Latvia the snow started and did not stop, In our garden the snow was piled up to our waists and we thought it was the Ice Age, You should have seen what happened when the snow finally stopped and the spring came closer and everything started melting.

@RasmaSandra Did it flood when it began to melt?
A few years ago we had a lot of snow and then it hit 50 one weekend and we had flooding everywhere.

I am grateful for the warmer weather today even though it will only last for a few days until a storm comes on Saturday and then cooler weather for Sunday and early next week.

You're doing excellent with exercising at the YWCA and hopefully, your blood clot has dissolved. We are getting snow in Michigan, again today.

@kobesbuddy We're about the same. I'm hoping for five inches.

@just4him It's still snowing here, we probably got only about four inches.

Sounds like you had a productive day, including your nap. I am sure the pool and hot tub felt nice, too. I'm thankful we had a successful outting, and the drive safe and save app worked correctlyly (all be it slowly) I'm thankful Petco had Chilly's pills, and I was able to pick them up today. I'm thankful that my husband, George, didn't mind driving me to Ormand to get it.

@just4him Yeah. I opened the pill bottle this morning, and could start to see the bottom. So, it's a good thing we have the new one.

Thank you. I don't know when exactly it started, but it's coming down steady with blustery winds. They're talking about snow squalls later today. I'm enjoying it from the inside. I have pictures and will get more throughout the day.
