More and more young people are getting married up to the age of 20 . According to statistics , women over the age of 45 are getting married to younger men , even 15 years old ! Men up to the age of 30 are looking for women over the age of 40 !
Does the future of marriage affect these differences for years ?
Do you have differences in your family for years ?

At some point, if the difference is many years, it will affect parts of the relationship if not the relationship itself.
This may not be true for every spring/fall relationship but age difference plays a part in every relationship even if only in small ways. Music choices, activities and friends.
My wife is three years older than I am and I never pass up the chance to remind her lol

I am Italian, Italians used to marry younger women and, for what I know, this has not changed. In our days many couples are the same age, as they meet in school or at the university. My husband is 5 years older and we have no problems. The father of my husband was 25 years older than his mother, they ended up divorcing.

@soymex I know that in the past, women preferred an older man because he needed to have a good job before starting a family. Men preferred younger women because young women can take better care of young kids. My brother and his wife were the same age, my Dad was 3 years older than my Mom.

Ive always had a thing for older guys
the only relationships in my family that have worked is when there is a gap of 2 or more years same age or few months apart havent worked out.

My boyfriend is 1 year older than me. My ex is 8 years older than me. Not too much difference in ages between me and my boyfriend.

Most people that I know are married to people close in age to them. The more years between the couple the more likely to end in divorce. It is a proven fact.

yes. and I think age has nothing to do with how it works or lasts.

@soymex some people probably just can't handle the difference in what's liked by their spouse. yes.

There are some cases that it really affects the relationship but it depends on the couple

It seems to me, people are attracted to each other for many reasons and motives and with all ages, and it has always been like this.
I think if the people are compatible, age does not make a difference.
Just my thoughts.

Some age differences can work but when there's a big gap I don't know what a couple would find in common,

@soymex when you're in love you don't think about the difference. My personal opinion is there's no right or wrong relationship and age shouldn't matter.

I would not marry someone young enough to be my child. That seems repulsive to me. I see no harm in marrying someone 10 years older. Much more than that, and you have nothing in common.
