January 13 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been a wonderfully fantastic day!
I'm thankful I went out early to try to start the car. Alexa said it was only 25. I decided to go out anyway and give it a try. It started!!! 
I have wheels again.
I'm thankful I got to my son's to do laundry. It's good to have clean clothes. They're folded, I only need to put them away. He also gave me a bottle of Heet to put in my gas tank. His girlfriend gave it to him for me.
I'm thankful I got my shopping done. I was totally confused by the amount I used on my debit card. I used my OTC food benefits card and my foodshare card. I bought Cascade pods. Not food. I only paid $1.10 on my debit card. When I got home I found the OTC card covered the Cascade. Now that's a surprise benefit. The $1.10 was tax. I can handle that kind of grocery shopping.
I'm thankful I'm finished with the notifications. It's always a blessing to spend time here with you and see what you're doing in your part of the world.
Okay, that's my day. I decided since today is Thursday, I'll go back to the pool on Monday. I'm not going back for just one day. It will mess up knowing what day it is.

I always felt those food cards should cover necessities like soaps and cleaners. They could stop covering soda and candy to make up the difference.

I thought that was two rooms of your apartment but it didn't make sense having a chair in each room.
I'm thankful we got our countertops in yesterday. We went shopping for food today and I cooked my first regular meal since July/Aug.
I bought an echo dot recently and I'm still in learning mode. So I guess I'm thankful for that too even though my husband hates that it's always listening.

@MarshaMusselman I don't think about it listening. I enjoy that I can get instant answers most of the time. Sometimes she doesn't understand my questions. Mostly though, I listen to Christian music.
That's the entrance to the building. They have wonderful decorations and artwork on the walls to enjoy.
That's great you finally ate your first meal in your kitchen.

I'm thankful that God is still watching over us. He's making all the necessary changes, to make our life beautiful. I'm thankful for block button on My Lot, for verbally abusive members.

I'm usually there Monday to Friday. This week was impossible. I was sick on Monday and Tuesday, then with the Arctic blast we had pushing temps well below zero, my gas lines froze, and needed to wait for them to thaw. I'll be back there on Monday.

That was a nice surprise. I'm glad they covered your dish washer stuff. I don't blame you, we all pay taxes. Glad it worked out.
I'm thankful for a nice day. We were able to put up a wind chime we bought last year. George finally decided, now that our christmas decorations are put away, to put up the windchime. You don't hear it much because the wind isn't extremely strong today. But, I still love the sound.

@just4him It does. I've always loved the sound, and we've been lucky not to get a whole lot wind. So we didn't hear it a lot, but still could hear it.

I am thankful I got the grocery shopping done this morning. The store was really busy. They have snow in the forecast. Have a blessed evening.

I am thankful that I had a nice day out with my friend. We went to lunch and to 3 thrift stores. I haven't seen her in a while so it was good to catch up. I am having issues with making health decisions so I really needed a day out with a good friend.
