Let’s see….the next few days will give you R&B, a couple of country sings, folk-punk, a standard….and this ditty. We’re moving toward Valentine’s Day with a list of songs with “kiss” in the title, and you can see I’m all over the board. That’s my weird world. Here’s today’s song. Every Little Kiss - Bruce Hornsby & the Range This guy had a pretty darn good 1989, wouldn’t you say? He had a huge hit with “The Way It Is” and co-wrote Don Henley’s Grammy-nominated hit “The End of the Innocence.” This song isn’t nearly as depressing as “The Way It Is” or “The End of the Innocence.” It has a lovely melody and Hornsby’s sweet voice. I got to see him live once, quite unintentionally. He showed up to back Ricky Skaggs on a bluegrass song at the Americana Awards. He’s pretty much in the background now in “mainstream” music, but he’s still making music.
