Some Motel Ghosts of Idaho

I enjoy ghosts. I am starting my Idaho Ghost Posts with Motels here in Boise. Just a few. The Owyhee Motel is located at 110 Main Street in downtown Boise. It was built in 1910 but is only used as an event center now. It used to be quite the place and was chosen by Boise Weekly staff as the Best of Boise in 2011. It was renovated into apartments in 2013. There are many stories of past guests who had heard strange noises and many who had the feeling of being watched. There have been a few who say they have seen apparitions. One female guest said she woke up one night with the apparition of a woman standing in the room. She was overcome with a calming feeling so she asked the ghost who she was and what she wanted. The woman just disappeared. The Idanha Motel is located at 928 W. Main Street and has had such visitors as Roger Miller, Gene Harris, Governor Frank Steunenberg, President Theodore Roosevelt, President William Howard Taft, and even Clarence Darrow. The place has had the usual ghosty happenings such as the elevator moving and its doors opening and closing. It now has Victorian-style apartments and even a popular bar called 10th Street Station. There is even a Bates Motel in Coeur D'Alene. It was named before the Alfred Hitchcock movie "Psycho" was released. And, yes, visitors report the place is haunted, especial in rooms 1 and 3. So, if you are ever up that way.......
