Not a fabulous January (2022) to talk about

- More medical expenses here and there. - Higher Car Insurance payment - Additional expenses for Hot Air Blower repair - Long cold weather spell making walks less frequent - Lesser time for Mylot/other sites So not a fabulous or even that good January to talk about. Plus I had to sell some amount from my MFs to cover some expenses. May be at times in life, we have to bear all this and pray to God to have better times. Enjoy your Sunday folks!

January is expense month, Business renewal means payment of fees and taxes. Let's hope we'll all get by and more resources to come to pay off our expenses.

@DianneN There are factors like Co-payments, section wise limits and overall limits. I was briefly into dealing with Software that dealt with Medical and Life Insurance so got to know some fundamentals and terms. But unaware of some very recent developments.

We call it "Njaanuary" here as a way to express how the money becomes less in the month of January. Actually the word "Njaa" means hunger in English. Then you combine the word with January

Does sound like a rough month. Hope that all gets settled down soon and coming months are good. It was an okay month here..nothing much to complain or to be happy about. And we too had some unseen expenses coming our way that was not budgeted. Guess! That's life.

@arunima25 It was a certification exam for Microsoft Cloud platform. It had a broad range of topics with a few in depth. I did a lot of study N practice and made College style notes (15/16 pages) after a long long time!!

More medical expenses for me too. My wife had slipped a disc of the L5 spine. I had to take leaves for 4 days from the job for it.

@JudyEv Yes hoping for the same. Some expenses have been higher due to the extremely cold weather (by our standards) and some due to other factors - health related etc.

Every week at the supermarket, the prices go higher and higher. Cooking gas is up, electricity, water, internet. However, we will survive.

@Kandae11 I think of that as "Creep up" effect. Some prices keep going up and we aren't able to track everything. Keeping good savings is a tough task by itself.
