Who gets up at this ridiculous hour of the day????? I’ve been up since 8 AM, letting workers into my crawl space. Yeah, pity me. (You can really pity me when I get that nearly $11,000 bill for the work!
) Oh, well, I have an “early” doctor’s appointment tomorrow, so this is good practice to get up early. Meanwhile, here’s another kissy-kissy song as we celebrate the Valentine season.
A Kiss to Build a Dream On - Louis Armstrong
You see, I’m not all Faron Young and Violent Femmes weirdness. I can be weird with the standards, too!
Satchmo needs no introduction. This terrific song needs no introduction, either. If you wonder why people whose parents weren’t born when Louis Armstrong died in 1971 know who he is, just listen. The vocals aren’t “pretty,” but they’re so beautiful. And oh, that trumpet playing.
So enjoy a timeless classic, in every regard.
A Kiss to Build a Dream On
Written by Bert Kalmar, Harry Ruby, and Oscar Hammerstein II
Recorded by Louis Armstrong
Released as a single, 1951
Sweetheart, I ask no more than this:

Mold remediation (which by itself is nearly $4K)
Replacing and shoring up a rotted beam
Installing a sump pump and a dehumidifier
Expensive, but worth it.
