Coca-Cola Boozing It Up

Either sales are hurting at the top soft-drink makers or they are just doing their best to tap into a multi-billion dollar industry. Alcoholic malt beverages. It is actually a little bit of both. Sales have dropped significantly over the year on sugary carbonated soft drinks as people opt for more healthier alternatives, including flavored waters and flavored seltzers. Juices notwithstanding. Recently Pepsico announced it was teaming up with The Boston Beer Company, the brewery behind the popular Samuel Adams beer and Twisted Tea and Truly. Together they will make an alcoholic version of the ever popular Mountain Dew. And now Coca-Cola is teaming up with Molson Coors to create an alcoholic Simply product which will be a spiked lemonade. Of course, Coca-Cola is owner of the Simply Orange brand of juices.

I don't know about that. But surely people's habits and preferences have changed quite a bit.

I am sure they must have tested the market before, but parents might not want their kids drinking the spiked version.

This is true of many people, thus the reason many of these companies are looking for other areas to produce revenue and increase sales.

It's a good thing they have expanded their "menu". Expansion new work opportunities for more people and of course a new product that the general public could enjoy.
