How to live like that?

Today I have read a post of a friend of mine which made me be angry once again!
He was waiting on a paid parking when a well dressed man come to my friend to ask for help to pay the parking. My friend explain it how to do it and the man went.
After 1 minute he comes back again: Sir, please do it yourself , I can't do it!
My friend took man;s phone, which was an Iphone 13, an expensive model by the way, and start to do the procedure, asking the man which are the number plates to introduce in the SMS message.
The man tell my friends those 3 letter. I need to make a statement- In my country car plates contains 2 numbers and 3 letters.
My friend ask him once again which is the complet number and the man insisted with those 3 letters.
My friend was absolutely amazed on how stupid man was, then asking to show his car. It was a Mercedes GLC Coupe 220 4 Matic, which cost around 35.000 euros on second hand, not new.
My friend end his procedure and went away!
Now, how a man like that , who was not knowing what is the entire number of his car plates, and not knowing how to use a simple app. for paying parking, can have money for such expensive things?
He was a functional illiterate! I am really angry when I see such persons!
Have you ever encounter such persons in your life?

I do know my license plate number, I think it's because every time I stay in a hotel (it's been awhile, for sure) you have to give it to the registration desk for parking purposes. I've had the same plate number for years, so dumb that I have so many numbers in my head that don't need to be there. I can rattle off my driver's license number, social security number of course, phone numbers from childhood, oh, and my ex's driver's license and social security numbers, too. More stuff I wish I didn't know, LOL

I realize in many countries those plates are even hard to remember because of the format, but here to Romania, everyone knows his plates numbers....everyone, except those kind of people, with no school, no education, but full of money, earned on illicite ways, mostly.

many times. Perhaps his spouse or parents are rich. I once worked for a guy that had me come clean his house. They were very rich and he was a friend of Bill Gates. Anyway, they had an old garbage disposal they needed replaced and until it was replaced it would get clogged really bad when peelings or seeds were put in it. I saw this rich mans wife peeling an apple over it planning to put peels down the garbage disposal even though a sign was over it saying, "Do not put peels or seeds in disposal"
When I pointed it out to her she said but it doesn't say apple peels !

Every rich man has their profession,but not every rich man can use the modern sciences.I guess he just really didn't how to deal with it.But Every rich man can learn and fit it,i think he won't make this joke again

Not everyone is great with the internet. I have trouble with new apps and btw I don't know my license plate number offhand. Many people did not learn to do the internet in school and it is hard for older folks to catch on to the ever-changing technology.

I have no clue what the license plate number is on my car. The only people who care about things like that here are the police. We don't use license plate numbers for anything. (I've owned this car since 2002 and have had the same license plates since I bought it.)
