Snow Covered Bird Feeder

Went out a few minutes ago to feed the birds. Not thinking about the weather. And saw the flurries falling. Came back inside. The last thing I need is to slip and fall on the deck. We shouldn't get much more than a dusting. But it was pretty to watch it all, from inside of course. Will have to wait until the morning to feed the birds. Photo is mine.

I went out a couple of weeks ago to capture a photo of the snow falling and slipped on our concrete porch. The doctor says I have a bone bruise to my right hip that may take months to heal. Please be careful.

I snapped this one from inside. Not going out there, it is dark now. Glad you are safe too.

I am sure the birds are also hiding out somewhere until the snow stops falling,

I know they stay in the trees and bushes for shelter.

The last think you need to do is slip and fall.

That must be so pretty - but yah, no falling please! I always wondered where the birds go when it snows!

I'm sure the birds will appreciate breakfast after a snowy night! Pretty scene though : )

Beautiful picture. It's best not to slip and fall. Watching from inside is always best when you don't need to go out.

The mountains got the most snow from this storm. We had a few flurries, but a lot of wind. And it is very cold today. Glad you didn't slip when you went out to take care of your birds.

Not that we get much snow here, but Like put squares of suet in a hanging cage, so only the very top gets any dusting and the birds can hang onto the cage and eat. There is also a flat plate like thing that I put seed mix on, that would be buried by any snow fall

@CarolDM They do indeed. I sometimes put some suet pellets in with the seeds and it is very popular

We got another 3-4" over the past couple of days. I can't wait until next week when we will get a couple of days of melting! Be safe and don't fall!

I suppose it is pretty to watch from inside, And better still knowing you won't get 10 inches and it leaves.a mess.every.where.
