Last time most people got paid here, I regretted that I hadn't really pushed myself hard enough to make payout several places on the internet. I really needed the money but was quite short here and other places too. Anyway, my own fault I guess for giving in to pain and illnesses.
So I am trying to get it this time and taking all the advice I can get as long as it's not insulting
It seems the whole world is in dire straights financially and health wise with this weather and viruses.
The photo is of myself and daughter that lives in Ohio now I about never see. It's been about 3 yrs. since her visit. This was taken in a little photo booth in 1970 at a think Woolworth's Back then they had these booths all over the place. People did not usually have a camera of their own.
It was such a lovely time for me because I could do most anything without pain and dizziness
I could still touch my toes while standing and bend over. No pain
I could still cook and clean and play with the kids.
Except then, funny thing, I was looking forward to life getting better and easier once the kids were all in school and I could work. I thought things were really hard back then. Never realized those were the good old days
If only 22 year old me had known what I know now. Sure miss those days. So young people just know that no matter how tough you think you have it, some day you will look back and think, "those were the good old days.",

Once upon a time there was a tavernWhere we used to raise a glass or twoRemember how we laughed away the hoursAnd dreamed of all the great things we would do...

One thing I see people do here that you don't always do is write a new discussion when you first come onto myLot in the morning and another before you go to bed at night. (You can still write others during the day but posting one first thing and last thing you do gives people more chances to interact on them. You get both people who are on during the daytime and nighttime.)
And yes, I know that's not what I do, but I've been told I "earn money the hard way" on myLot. *shrug* I'm doing what's comfortable for me.

I have always kind of done what was comfortable for me here too. But lately I am so in need of money and unable to work at anything else I figured it's time to really step it up because if I don't help myself who else will? Most everyone I know is also in this position these days.
thanks for the advice. I did notice that if I don't start a discussion for a couple days, just responding to a lot don't cut it as some would have me believe.

@DaddyEvil wow that's really good. I still only have 9.63 and that's starting out at 4 something when others got paid.

@bunnybon7 I make okay money here NOT writing discussions very often, but I'm not like most people here. I jump into anything interesting and talk. I guess people like me enough, or think I'm more interesting than I think I am, and respond to me.
I'm doing about average for this month.
Screenshot is mine.

@bunnybon7 I will say that even though these past couple years were rather crazy, there have been some "good" things about it - I guess that's how we have to see it for now. Let's hope things do get better

Sorry you're still struggling. Wish things were easy for you.
My mom talks about that store but wasn't around when i was a kid. Photobooths in malls still are though

And I looked at the days during 1970-1990 as very hard times. Now I realize, those days were very beautiful, I didn't appreciate my life as I should have. I had good health all my life. I didn't thank God, for this wonderful blessing!

Lovely photo. I can relate. I thought retirement would allow me to do a lot of cooking, which I love, and also allow me to nap anytime I wanted to. Well, I have a tremendous amount of trouble sleeping; and I'm unable to stand more than a minute or walk more than 50 feet. I can totally sympathize with you and agree with what you said. Take care.

@shaggin what I hate is when a phone quits on you or you have to change carriers. They never seem to be able to get your photos in the new one. and I have lost so many "phone" digital photos from that happening.

yes too bad they aren't still every where cause people have phones to take photos now. I prefer paper photos to set around the house etc.

I am not sure if you ever got your payout like you wanted. Maybe you did, maybe you didn't. I hope you did, and maybe there is a post somewhere after this one SAYING you did. Of course, I know you are not here to respond to this. But never forgotten of course. However strange it may sound, sometimes I like to talk to the folks who can no longer talk back to us.
In a way, that kind of keeps you around and fresh in our thoughts. And even if you never respond, which of course you can't, it still feels nice to pretend that you can.
RIP Bonnie.
