Valentine Kisses: Prelude to a Kiss / myLot

Monday morning to you! What am I doing up this early? I have a “party” to attend at the VA: a nuclear stress test. It’s a long (about 3-4 hours) cardiology test. I’ve had these before, and they’re not too problematic. Of course, I was a lot younger the last time I had one!

Here’s a kiss before I go as we inch closer to Valentine’s Day. Prelude to a Kiss - Mel Tormé The Velvet Fog! You can blame Night Court for this, because that show developed my appreciation of Mel Tormé. Now, if you don’t care for Tormé‘s rendition, you can always go with Duke Ellington’s original. Or Sarah Vaughan. Or Alicia Keyes. Or even Debbie Harry (she did it for the soundtrack of a 1992 film named after the song). I read that this is considered one of Ellington’s least-known songs. I had to go in for a nuclear stress test in December. We were at the clinic for six hours. Had anyone along the way told us it would take that long, I might not have gone. It was an hour drive there and back, as well. After the technician gave e that shot, it felt like my left arm was being pulled off. That lasted for two days after the test, too. (I was told to drink a caffeinated soda to make that feeling stop. I went through a six-pack of Mt. Dew during those two days. I usually drink one Mt. Dew in a week, if that often.) I hope your test goes well for you.

Thank you. Things have been great thus far. They didn’t have to medically induce my heart rate. I got on the treadmill, put on “Amos Moses” by Jerry Reed, and by the time it played TMBG’s version of “Tubthumpng” I was at 160 BPM! I’ve eaten now, and I’m waiting to get the second set of images done. Sorry yours was a pain.

So sorry to hear you have had heart attacks, but thankful they did no damage. They’re being precautionary with this because I had two maternal uncles die of heart attacks.

@FourWalls I hope your "meal" was better than the dried out turkey sandwich they gave me. Oh, well, it is what it is. At least they told me there was little damage from the four minor heart attacks I had last summer.
