In 1973 Merle Haggard was at number one on the Billboard Country album chart with It's Not Love (But It's Not Bad). The title track went to number one giving Haggard his thirteenth country number one.
In 1977 at the American Music Awards the winners included Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Conway Twitty, Charley Pride, Willie Nelson, Olivia Newton-John and The Eagles. Johnny Cash became the first country artist to win the Award of Merit.
In 1987 country-pop artist Tyler Hubbard was born and is part of the duo Florida Georgia Line. They has a number one album in 2012 Here's to the Good times,
In 1989 Alabama came out with their twelfth studio album Southern Star. The album included four singles "Song of the South", "High Cotton", the title track and "If I Had You", all of which reached number one on the Hot Country Singles chart between 1989 and 1990.
In 2010 Taylor Swift became the youngest country music artist and youngest person to wint the Grammy Award for Album of the Year Fearless. She also won three more awards Best Country Album (Fearless), Best Female Country Vocal Performance ("White Horse"), and Best Country Song ("White Horse").
In 2014 Dolly Parton came out with your 44th solo studio album Blue Smoke. The album includes a new recording "From Here to the Moon and Back" with Willie Nelson, which was also on Nelson's 2013 album, To All the Girls ..
