Do you think it's unlawful to prevent unvaxxed people from entering any establishment?

I believe every person has the right to get vaccinated or not, That's a personal choice. However, what if all establishments won't allow unvaxxed people into their places? It's going on right now with some establishments because the government has given them this option. But what if this option is made into a law in your country with corresponding fines and incarceration for violators? Would you agree with this law or be against it because, according to some, it curtails individual freedom? What do you think?

People have the right to take personal decisions. Unvaccinated people must probe not to be contagious here, so a test is asked if they want to eat at a restaurant. I think this is freedom.

@TheSojourner - You are right. If someone refuses to be tested, they should not complain if they are not allowed inside. The test is not so bad and it takes 5 minutes to know.

@LadyDuck , I agree, so it's up now to the customer to comply or go to another establishment. That's fair enough,. Thanks.

@TheSojourner - In EUrope, a store "opened to the public" is not a club, if the government has not set rules, they cannot prevent people from entering. Right now the Government has established that to go inside a restaurant, a theater, a museum... and a lot of other places, people must show the Covid certificate or proof of a negative test, so right now they can prevent people to go inside if they do not have those cerificates. This may change from February 17, but they will let us know.

Even before the pandemic, any commercial establishment has the discretion to allow or prevent entry to anyone, or to require certain procedures prior to entry, like checking your bags. Entry to such an establishment is not a right, but a privilege. The choice to be vaxxed or not is a right, I agree. By law, vaccination is not yet mandatory.

I see. yes, I remember some businesses checking bags upon entry. It's a privilege. I like that. I think no country has yet to declare vaccination mandatory. Thanks.

Well, a business seems to be able to do as they please, at least here. I think if unvaxxed are masked and take precautions sensibly, they should be admitted to establishments, but again, private business has the last word, so the law is upheld here for the business, not the individual rights. It does not apply to me, because I do not go anywhere to these places. I amuse myself at home and save my money

Yes, everyone is saying that business establishments can do that. It's their right to accept people or not, and they indeed have the last word. Thanks.

People have a choice to get vaccinated or not. Those who don't get vaccinated just need to realize there may be restrictions in place to protect the other people around them. *shrug*

Incarceration would be exaggerated. A fine is acceptable.

Yes, it may be too much. Perhaps, in other places where discipline is difficult to implement. Thanks.
