Lunch at Cracker Barrel

After the appointment was done today and the errands were all finished, stopped at Cracker Barrel on the way home for a late lunch/early dinner. Got their daily lunch special, since it has smaller portions. Chicken and dumplings, biscuits, and fried apples. Oh my goodness was it all good. They were not too busy. No long lines. Enjoyed every bite of this comfort food. This will probably be dinner as well. Temperatures are dropping. Good to get back home. Photo is mine.

Yum! I love there fried apples. Not much of a fan of chicken and dumplings but I could tell what was from the picture before I even finished reading.

Temperatures are dropping rapidly here. Yum! Looks delicious and yes, you will probably still be full at dinner time! I wish I had one of their biscuits right now!

@CarolDM Yes, it was an indoor day for sure here today. That wind was horrible! Last year, I took a chance and ordered a steak there. My husband said I was going to be sorry. When it came out it was SO tender. He was a bit jealous!!

A couple weeks ago I was there and had the same dinner only my sides were turnip greens and french fries. It was soooooo good.

Not bad at all. The deck is icy but the roads are ok, according to the reports. Don 't plan to get out. We will not get above freezing today.

That looks soooo good. There is one that's near the Texas Roadhouse that we go to; but they are too far away; and we always choose TR. The only time we go there is when I have my doctor's appointment out there. This month I opted for a TeleHealth appointment. Good thing because we can't get out of the drive.
