Potato Soup For Dinner

Made a pot of potato soup for dinner. Added lots of cheese with sour cream and bacon on the top. A few oyster crackers mixed in and it will be ready.
Very cold day today. Never made it above freezing. Been inside getting a few projects done. The power went out for about an hour earlier. Power lines were down in a neighborhood across the street.
Thankfully it was only an hour. And then it was back. Amazing how you take things for granted. You realize when they are gone.

I love potato soup. I had never had it up until about 2 years ago when my son kept telling me about how good it was. His mother-in- law cooked for them sometimes. I looked up a recipe, just to try it and was amazed at how good it was.
This past Christmas that's what everyone wanted, so I cooked a big pot and made some sour dough bread. There wasn't any left.

@CarolDM Oh yea, sour dough bread is real good with it. I make the one you feed with potato flakes.

I’m glad it was only for an hour because at those temps you would get cold quickly.
The soup sounds tasty. I said to my daughter today before dinner I wish I had potatoes so I could make soup to go with the biscuits she wants me to make tomorrow.

Love potato soup. Yours sounds like the best ever! Friday date night here. Hubs is yapping with his childhood friend and better make it snappy. He has to order dinner before the rain freezes and no one delivers. Otherwise, it will be just a martini night.

Boy just pack up some of that soup and ship it to me, I still have 4 more days to go before my SS arrives, Oh, yes I depend on my laptop so much if the power went I would really get my anxiety up at dangerous level,

I have 2 big containers of leftover potato soup in the freezer. Tomorrow, the roommates are having roast, so I am having potato soup.
