Send Your Dog on a Cruise

Dog Hotel Narrow Boat

While ambling along the canal, I spotted this narrow boat business. When you go on holiday, why not send your dog on one too! In this case a cruise along the canal. With plenty of stops, so the doggos can have three walks a day. In the age of instant communications, you be receiving photos and videos of your best pal along with their newly made friends. Have to say, I can’t see this working for cats!

One less thing for dog owners to worry about and the doggo gets a good time

I am sure dogs would love. I fully agree with you, this would not work for cats.

@Ronrybs Dogs are easily excited, cats are only well in THEIR home.

I am pretty sure they enjoy exploring the new sights and smells. My cat hates going to the cattery

I would rather take such a cruise with my dog than send him on his own.

@Ronrybs When the missus and I travel with our camper/caravan, we always look for dog-friendly businesses close to the campground that we can give our patronage.

@DWDavis Goes to show, there is money in catering to folks with dogs and a savvy business won't let it get away!

I like the idea of a dog on a cruise myself.

I have never been too sure about a cruise, except maybe down the Rhine... without dogs!

How cool. I am with you, I think the cats would take a pass on this trip.

Whilst cats can be quite nautical, I don't see canal cruising being their speed!

@Ronrybs No I don't either. That would be funny to watch.

That's really different! My pet doesn't get a cruise until after I do!

Have to say I have never heard of doggie cruises before, but it sounds a good idea to me. You can chat about them on those winter evenings while planning the next one!

I can see a few dogs landing up in the drink too if they took it into their minds to escape! And you're right - it wouldn't work with cats.

Yes, always found that a weird thing about dogs, their willingness to jump in at the deep end! Cats are much more fussy

Interesting concept. You're right I don't think cats would be as happy floating along on the boat.

It is the first time I've seen the boat along here, but I hope it is successful. Sure the doggos like it

I think this will be fun enough for any dog and his new found mates!
