Our Family Heir was Born in a Pool of Water

February 14th is our Valentine’s Day baby’s birthday! What gift could be better than that? He will be 12 years old.
He’s the only male in our daughter-in-law’s family of girls and more girls, not counting her brother
She gave birth in her living room in a pool of water. She’s all for natural childbirth, leaving the gooey stuff on, organic only, nursing etc…. My son and a birthing doula helped deliver him. He was fit as a fiddle but examined by his pediatrician soon after.
We all joke around calling him our male heir, but he will carry on our family name some day. The photo looks so ladi-da, that I couldn’t resist using it.

@LadyDuck You must have agreed not to have children. Aniella told my son that she would be alone in the world without any, but that's not true. She has a brother who may marry and have children one day.
First my son wants to see how their relation grows. Then he has to decide if he wants to ever get married again.

@DianneN What kind of music does he like? What instruments does he play? You know I am one of the best music teachers in the world. I just printed out a song that has both guitar and flute in it. It's a for a 13-year-old guitar student who also plays flute.

Mom is healthy, thank goodness. An ambulance was parked around the corner if there were any complications. Mom had given birth 20 months previously to our ice princess, so knew what to expect. She is an amazing person and I give her her credit.
